The article summarizes about the common neuropsychological disorder i.e. Alzheimerâs disease. AD is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. In most people with Alzheimerâs symptoms first appear in their mid-60s. The article also deals with pathogenesis of Alzheimerâs disease using different hypothesis. It also deals with different diagnostic methods used to diagnose it and different therapies used for the treatment of the disease.
