Medicinal
plants are extensively used all over the globe has led to a rise in major
concerns over the quality, wellbeing and effectiveness of the natural products
they have. Ailanthus excels Roxb. is a tree,Â
that is native to the central and southern regions of India. This plant
belongs to Simaroubaceae family. This plant is commonly called as âTree of Heavenâ.
In the present study leaf and stem parts were extracted with petroleum ether,
benzene, chloroform, acetone, ethanol and water according to the polarity of
these solvents for the extractive value. Maximum yield in leaf part was
obtained in water extract (7.64%). In
stem extract, maximum yield was also observed in water extract (2.91%). These
parts were also quantitatively estimated and found that leaf part has more
concentration of primary metabolites than stem part except protein (36.83±2.70
mg/g dw) and phenol (9.06±0.23 mg/g dw)
amount. Aerial part of the plant were subjected to fluorescence analysis
treating with different chemicals which produce different colors. These analyses
are essential for the formation of drugs.
