Natural resources have been utilised for skincare and beauty enhancement since ancient times. However, the rise of chemical-based cosmetics has led to various adverse effects on the skin, prompting a shift toward herbal alternatives. Herbal cosmetics are known for their safety, efficacy, and nourishing properties. This study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of an herbal face toner using Butea monosperma, Aloe vera, Tulsi, Glycerine, and Rose water to provide a chemical-free skincare solution with soothing, hydrating, and antioxidant properties. The toner was prepared using a decoction method to extract active compounds from Butea monosperma, followed by the maceration method for Tulsi extract. The ingredients were blended in different formulations, stored in sterile spray bottles, and evaluated for physical, chemical, and microbial properties.The formulated toner exhibited antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, and moisturizing properties. It effectively tightened pores, balanced pH, and provided hydration. The spray formulation ensured even application, improved absorption, and minimal contamination risk.The Butea monospermaface toner is a safe, effective, and natural alternative to chemical-based products. Its herbal composition offers multiple skincare benefits, making it suitable for all skin types. This study highlights the potential of herbal cosmeceuticals in modern skincare, promoting sustainable and skin-friendly beauty solutions.
